Reiki in Wootton
Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice.
Western Reiki has its lineage and history with Dr Mikao Usui (1865- 1926) Before his death, Dr Usui had taught 2000 people how to use this healing art to help with mental, physical and spiritual imbalances. These teachings have been passed on through time and continue to be used as an effective treatment to heal us when we our energetic systems are blocked.
Our entire world is made up of different types of energy and we are constantly picking up negative signals from our environment, how we choose to live our life ( lifestyle) and how we choose our thoughts ( our mental stability) Whilst we are receptive to all of the lovely and wonderful things that life has to offer we also tune into stress ,and unless we have systems in place to let go of this then the energy of stress gets stuck and we become ill or challenged on many levels.
As well as the many systems that function within our physical bodies (circulatory, lymphatic and respiratory, to name but a few) we also consist of an energetic system that whilst invisible to the human eye is a vital part of our personal make up and very existence. We have 7 energy centres that are placed in different points along the spine. They are known as Chakras. These are best described as ‘circular vortexes of energy. All seven chakras are connected to the various organs and glands within the body.

When the harmonious balance of the seven chakras is disrupted or damaged, it can cause several problems in our lives, including our physical health, emotional health and our mental state of mind. Reiki works with the energy centres that are out of balance to bring harmony and healing. Reiki uses the healing power of touch to work with these imbalances and to facilitate the patients process of self-healing.
